Easter!!!

We had a fun Easter together. On Saturday we went to the mall and were walking by Build-A-Bear and saw some Star Wars outfits for the bears. We went in to "look" and then decided to let Carson make one for part of his Easter present. His bear turned out so cute.

Then we went home and dyed Easter Eggs. Of course, we had a Star Wars egg coloring kit and we had a good time coloring eggs together.

On Sunday, the Easter bunny came and brought Carson some fun things. It only took Carson about 5 minutes to find all the eggs, so I guess next year the Easter bunny will have to be more clever. :) Then we went to our family gatherings and Carson got to have 2 more Easter Egg hunts, and of course got spoiled rotten by our families.

We had a great day together and I am so grateful for my family! :)

1 tooth down...!

Yay! Carson lost his very first tooth today!!! We've been a little concerned because it seems like his friends have three or four teeth missing already, but earlier this week he noticed one of his teeth was loose. He kept wiggling it every day. Well this morning we got up and I made him a waffle. After a couple minutes he yelled, "Mom, my tooth is missing!" It turns out it had fallen out while he was sleeping and we found his tooth in the bed! ha ha I guess the tooth fairy will be paying a visit to our house tonight! I wonder what the going rate is for teeth these days? :)

Carson is...7???!!!

Wow! Where has the time gone? Our little man, Carson, turned 7 years old on March 9th! Ryan and I always talk about how weird it is... we never would have imagined what it would have been like to have a 7 year old together, and what do you know? We do! And we are loving every minute of it! We have so much fun as a family and Carson keeps us laughing everyday! He comes up with some of the funniest things to say. He knows how to make us laugh, that is for sure! He is really loving Jiu-Jitsu and gets better every time he goes to class.

For his birthday dinner Carson chose to go to the Mayan, so Ryan, Carson and I had a fun dinner on his actual birthday and for his party we invited everyone to Bouncin off the Walls and had such a fun party there. The kids, parents, grandparents and even great-grandma Ames had a great time on the slide. :) We feel lucky that Carson has great family and friends!

Thanks everyone, we love you all!

BoWLinG!!!

Last weekend we took Carson bowling. We love spending time with him and he is growing up so fast! I can't velieve how GOOD he is at things! I watch him play video games and am BLOWN away! The way he figures out things and knows just what to do is amazing. He SMOKED me at bowling- Ryan beat us both but Carson whooped me! He is getting better and better every time he goes to Jiu-Jitsu and he just amazes us at the things he learns and retains. We love him so much and I wish he could stay little forever! :)

Christmas Time....

We had a wonderful Christmas together and with our families. Carson, of course, got a whole lot of Star Wars stuff. :) Both of our families have fun traditions that we look forward to every year. We go to Ryan's grandparents house on Christmas Eve for dinner and gifts and we go to my parents house for Christmas breakfast and gifts. We are grateful that Carson is surrounded by people that love him and that we have fun traditions to pass on through the years.

Here we are!

Well, we finally have a blog! Here is a little about us.... We are Ryan and Jamey and we have a 6 year old son, Carson. We love spending time together doing just about anything, but our favorite place to be together is Disneyland. We have gone every year for the last 5 years and we love it more and more everytime! Ryan and Carson LOVE Star Wars and they enjoy collecting Star Wars stuff together. Carson is in Jiu-Jitsu and it is so fun for me and Ryan to watch him progress. We have wonderful families and enjoy spending time with them.
